Popular Holdings, the bookshop operator and property developer, reported net profit for the third quarter ended Jan 31, 2010 rose 47.5% to $7.85 million on the back of a 6.6% increase in sales to $147.25 million.
The biggest revenue contributor in 3QFY2010 was the property development division which recognised sales revenue of $41.4 million from its One Robin residential development. Profit before tax (PBT) of the division was $7.5 million.
Popular Holdings says construction for its second project, 18 Shelford, is on schedule while the third project, 8 Raja, is in its planning phase.
