PureCircle says Olam raises stake in company to 20%

PureCircle (PURE.L) said Singapore commodities firm Olam International (OLAM.SI) raised its stake in the Malaysia-based sweetener group to 20%. 
 
PureCircle said Olam bought about 13.3 million of its shares from Wii, a unit of world's largest listed palm oil firm Wilmar International (WLIL.SI), at 250 pence ($5.66) per share. The purchase price represents a premium of 6.6% to PureCircle's Thursday close. 
 
Shares of PureCircle, which supplies sweeteners to U.S. beverage giants PepsiCo Inc (PEP.N) and Coca-Cola Co (KO.N), were up 0.5 pence at 235 pence at 0837 GMT on Friday on the London Stock Exchange.
